Retired Cowpokes Foundation should make a good name for the program, (READ THIS)

I myself was asked if there were any programs for the shut-ins like (Nursing Homes) were a magic man or clown or even a trick roper could work out something so they could have some fun in their elderly days. I could get very little information about the subject. I even asked what if we had sponsors to help bring entertainment. You know that those people are still alive and like my grandfather was as sharp when he died as he was 20 years earlier. It’s a shame that no one thinks of these people. Last year I flew to St.Louis to raise money for meals on wheels every since the Government dropped the program. I took time to go that far to help so Iv decided to help here in Oklahoma. I’m seriously considering having sponsors for these inexpensive entertainers to visit. Most would come if they had gas money or just show insurance expense

So I did a little research and called and looked into many of the Nursing homes and they had little to nothing to say about these elderly spending their last days happy from what I got they were mistreated and were not cared for too well. I talked to one place and they were so afraid of me seeing their facility they would to even let me in to talk for raising them money I know that the homes try to hide a lot but they will stop treating these people like cattle. What’s bad is I figure I will be in a place like that some day and if that is what I have to look forward to I’d rather died from being thorn from a bonk or cowl of in a hole. Yea it’s sad… and heart breaking… but what can we do? We have sponsors for every type of equipment in the world of course the ads are for the working man who can buy. But is that right should we just market the young people. Ask Betty White?

If only a few dollars $5 or $20 less than a meal, if it were only $1 single dollar it would add up and our older folks could have some fun instead of being treated like prisoners. I don’t Know about You Oklahoma’s but I feel were a better state than that.

Let me know I’m willing to give a little and I could use the karma and I know my cowboy buddies are pretty good hearted. Let’s not forget them they brought us into the world at least we can do a small part to take them a smile. Or is it like the trail of tears were the old were just left on the side of the road alone, let’s not history repeat itself and start a Foundation.
